The Congregational Care team develops and provides opportunities for members to help minister to those within our church community during times of need. See below for an overview of the various ministry areas of support that touch the Prince of Peace community.

Bereavement Committee

The members of the Bereavement Committee plan and serve a luncheon for the family of any church member following a funeral.

Prayer E-Chain

Our goal is to have a community of people praying for anyone who asks for prayer from Prince of Peace.  Using e-mail, people on the prayer e-chain can receive prayer requests at any time. So anyone who asks can be lifted up in prayer by many people all through the week.

Inking of You

We meet once a month to hand-make cards such as memorial cards, thank yous, birthday cards, or thinking of you cards. Members create all types of cards for use by the church.

Needles & Friends

Crafters crochet medevac blankets for Soldiers' Angels which in turn send them to the military overseas. Individuals crochet blocks which are then assembled when we receive 49 blocks.  We have a standard block size for anyone to use as a guide to crochet blocks for the blankets. The blocks are gathered at church and then assembled and shipped with a prayer attached.

Pieces for Peace is a small quilting group. Our goal is to make quilts to share with those in need in God's family! We ask the recipients to imagine the arms of their PoP family wrapped around them in love and support.  Our dedicated "knot" designs, cuts, sews, ties, and delivers quilts made totally from donations from group members and the congregation. We meet Mondays in classroom #6 at 7:00 PM.
